Scott Robertson is associate director of the Interactive Media Technology Center (ITMC) at Georgia Tech. One of Roberston’s areas of research is the development of video game systems for air traffic control simulation training and human factors testing, telemedicine, and distance learning.
“I envision a future of urban air mobility in which we use augmented or virtual reality to design training systems to better understand how we can design cockpits to facilitate quick reactions needed by pilots in time-critical situations,” Robertson says. “I am also interested in developing better ways in which humans can interact with new technologies as part of new manufacturing paradigms that will be needed to scale up the delivery of air taxi vehicles.”
